<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council 4.6 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> <br />ConsentJuly 20, 2015Lauren Wipper, Human Resource Representative <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Park Maintenance Superintendent Position Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Description <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />Approve, by motion, the position description and pay grade for Park Maintenance Superintendent. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />At the July 6, 2015, work session, the City Council discussed and was in favor of changing the recently <br />vacated position of Park Maintenance Supervisor to Park Maintenance Superintendent. In turn, this will <br />change the pay grade of this position from pay grade 9 to pay grade 11. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br /> <br />The Park Maintenance Supervisor position has been vacant since early June and, by the time the <br />Superintendent position is filled, this position will likely have been vacant for about three months. With <br />that, it is anticipated that the position will be filled at step A or step B of pay grade 11 which falls below <br />the top pay of pay grade 9.
