Tity of <br /> <br />iYer <br /> <br />M£MORAND[IM <br /> <br />Item #3.9. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent <br /> <br />May 4, 2000 <br /> <br />Employee Issues <br /> <br />On April 26, 2000, Aaron Oscarson submitted a letter of resignation from his <br />position as a street department laborer. <br /> <br />Case Hayward, ice arena employee, was scheduled to work summer months as <br />a street/park mower operator, but has recently undergone surgery that will <br />keep him out of action for 6-8 weeks. <br /> <br />With the grass mowing season coming on strong, we will definitely miss these <br />two operating positions. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended the City Council authorize advertising for a laborer position <br />replacement as soon as possible and consider the use of overtime with our <br />present employees until the work load reaches a manageable level. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
