i <br /> Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Wade Lovelette—Superintendent of Technical <br /> John Dietz—Chair Services <br /> Al Nadeau—Vice-Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson- Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> June 16, 2015 6.1d <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • The Locating department had a total of 457 locate tickets in May; two of them being <br /> emergency tickets, 11 cancellations, 16 meets, 399 normal tickets, one boundary survey, and <br /> 28 updated tickets. The new map books were printed,bound and distributed to line trucks <br /> and office personnel. <br /> • In May, the Security Systems Department had a total of 79 phone contacts, 11 systems <br /> quoted, five system sales made, five installs completed, 21 service calls and 11 personal <br /> visits. <br /> • Electric Technicians continue with the meter reading,power bill, substation checks,hanging <br /> red-tags,meter read-outs, dealing with meter and off-peak issues, and delivering and <br /> installing new meters to commercial customers. They continue to change out the three phase <br /> meters to radio read meters. Installed new Beckwith LTC controls that will allow power <br /> quality monitoring and also allow us to monitor and control though our SCADA system. <br /> • The power plant staff did the monthly engine run on May 19th.
