He explained <br /> that Elk River might want to consider participating in the program. Staff gathered more <br /> information at the GMHF Growth Corridor Initiative conference on October 20, 2004. <br /> Program Description <br /> The program will respond to issues affecting high-growth communities located at <br /> the edge of the seven-county metro area. Initially, the program will include four pilot <br /> counties: Wright, Sherburne, Isanti, and Chisago. <br /> Four elements to the program include: <br /> • Coordinated planning <br /> • Land use <br /> • Housing <br /> • Community participation&local control <br /> There are two examples of the types of projects that might occur as part of the program in <br /> the attached"Planning&Building Better Communities..." pamphlet (the HRA might recall <br /> receiving a draft version of this pamphlet at the September HRA meeting).
