City of <br /> Elk �+ River <br /> RESOLUTION 84-26 <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE SERVICE OF MARTIN TRACY <br /> TO THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> WHEREAS, Martin Tracy was appointed to the City's Planning Commission on February <br /> 5, 1979 and served on the Planning Commission until August 1984 and also <br /> acted as Chairman of the Planning Commission from January 1981 until <br /> August 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, During Martin Tracy's tenure as a member of the Planning Commission, the <br /> Planning Commission and City Council completely revised and updated the <br /> City's Zoning Ordinance and map and Subdivision Ordinance which required <br /> significant amounts of time', and effort on both the Planning Commission <br /> and City Council's part; and, <br /> • WHEREAS, During Martin Tracy's tenure as a member of the Planning Commission, the <br /> City of Elk River experienced significant growth, and significant changes <br /> and adjustments as a result of the City of Elk River and Township of Elk <br /> River consolidation in January of 1978, requiring difficult decisions by <br /> the Planning Commission; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Recently during Martin Tracy's tenure as a member of the Planning Com- <br /> mission, the Planning Commission devoted significant time and effort to <br /> completion and development of a five-year capital improvement program <br /> for the City of Elk River; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Martin Tracy has also served on the City's Housing and Redevelopment <br /> Authority since January 1982 until August 1984. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that <br /> Martin Tracy's service to the City of Elk River is hereby recognized as a signifi- <br /> cant contribution towards the controlled quality growth of the City of Elk River <br /> and also, a significant and contributing factor in making the City of Elk River a <br /> more desirable city in which to live. <br /> Richard Hin le <br /> Mayor <br /> ft r ATTEST: <br /> Robert C.
