RESOLUTION 84-16 <br /> EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD JUNE 4, 1984 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of <br /> the City of Elk River, Minnesota Was duly called and held at the Elk River Public <br /> Library in said City on the 4th day of June, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Schuldt, <br /> Gunkel, Duitsman and Engstrom <br /> The following members were absent: None <br /> Councilmember Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 84-16, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FEASIBILITY STUDY AND ORDERING <br /> THE WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT FOR THE EAST MAIN STREET PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and expedient that the City of Elk River <br /> construct watermain improvements to that portion of the East Main Street <br /> area as described in accordance with the preliminary plans and feasibility <br /> report prepared by John Gilbertson of Consulting Engineers Diversified, consult- <br /> ing engineer; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the consulting engineer that said project <br /> improvements are feasible and should thus be made as proposed; and, <br /> • WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the Watermain <br /> Improvement project for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, hearing on said <br /> improvement was duly held and the City Council heard all persons desiring <br /> to be heard on the matter and fully considered the same. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements as <br /> described in the notic of hearing thereon be constructed and the same <br /> are hereby ordered made. <br /> 2. The improvements described in said notice of hearing are hereby designed <br /> and shall be known as the Watermain Improvement for the East Main Street <br /> Project. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council- <br /> member Gunkel and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br /> thereof : <br /> Councilmembers Schuldt, Engstrom, Duitsman and Gunkel <br /> The following voted against the same; None <br />
