RESOLUTION 83-17 <br /> EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD SEPTEMBER 19, 1983 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of <br /> the City of Elk River, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the Elk River Public <br /> Library in said City of the 19th day of September, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> Mayor Hinkle and Councilmembers Schuldt, Engstrom, Gunkel and Duitsman <br /> The following members were absent: <br /> None <br /> Councilman Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 83-17, A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE HEAVENLY HILLS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> AND AWARDING THE BID. <br /> WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the street and <br /> storm sewer improvement project for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, <br /> hearing on said improvements was duly held and the City Council heard all <br /> persons desiring to be heard on the matter and fully considered the same. <br /> • WHEREAS, bids were received by the City of Elk River for construction of said street <br /> and storm sewer improvements as per plans and specifications prepared by the <br /> City's consulting engineer. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements as de- <br /> scribed in the notice of hearing thereon be constructed and the same <br /> are hereby ordered made. <br /> 2. The improvements described in said notice of hearing are hereby designated <br /> and shall be known as the Heavenly Hills improvement project. <br /> 3. The contract shall be awarded to the low bidder, S & L Excavating for <br /> the improvement. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council- <br /> member Gunkel and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor there- <br /> of: <br /> Councilmembers Schuldt, Engstrom, Gunkel and Duitsman <br /> The following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> I <br />
