GG�{e_s <br /> RESOLUTION 83-14 <br /> EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD JULY 7, 1983 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of <br /> the City of Elk River, Minnesota was duly called and held at. the Elk River Public <br /> Library in said City on the 7th day of July, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers <br /> Schuldt, Gunkel and Duitsman. <br /> The following members were absent: Councilmember Engstrom <br /> Councilman Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 83-14; A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE GATES AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the Gates Avenue <br /> improvement project for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, hearing on said <br /> improvements was duly held and the City Council heard all persons desiring <br /> to be heard on the matter and fully considered the same. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, <br /> as follows : <br /> 1. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements as <br /> • described in the notice of hearing thereon be constructed and the <br /> same are hereby ordered made. <br /> 2. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that watermain improvements <br /> recommended and found to be feasible by Consulting Engineer's Diversified, <br /> and discussed by the City Council at the July 5, 1983, City Council <br /> meeting, excluding those improvements subject to a petition submitted <br /> for the Elk River Plaza PUD and which were ordered by Council Resolution <br /> 83-13, be constructed and the same are hereby ordered made. <br /> 3. The improvements described in said notice of hearing and watermain improve- <br /> ments described in item #2 above are hereby designated and shall be known <br /> as the Gates Avenue improvement project. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council- <br /> member Schuldt and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Duitsman and Schuldt. <br /> The following voted against the same: Councilmember Gunkel <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 7th day of July, 1983. <br /> ATTEST: .cc= , r9s <br /> Richard Hinkle, Mayor <br /> • <br /> Robert C.
