During the Capital Improvement Plan review, we discussed that we would replace the most <br />worn out areas in 2015 and the remaining areas in 2017. The public safety building is one of the most <br />traveled buildings by staff and the public. <br /> <br />Staff obtained three quotes. One quote was not comparable due to the fact that staff is recommending <br />carpet tiles versus broadloom carpet. The two lowest applicable quotes were obtained from the following: <br /> <br />Riversedge Flooring, Inc. - $49,669.95 () <br />staff recommendation <br />Absolute Commercial Flooring, Inc. - $63,461 <br /> <br />Building maintenance staff and the police chief have reviewed various samples of carpet tile over the past <br />few months and are comfortable going with Riversedge Flooring, Inc., for the project. References have <br />also been checked. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br /> <br />The Capital Improvement Plan for 2015 has $50,000 budgeted in the government building fund.
