"NAME YOUR NEW PARKS" CONTEST <br /> • Sponsored by Elk River Recreation Board <br /> Elk River has two undeveloped parcels of land designated for <br /> future park use. The Elk River City Council has directed the <br /> Recreation Board to name these parks , and this contest is our <br /> way of getting public input into this project. <br /> PARK LOCATIONS <br /> PARK #1 <br /> Approximately 160 acres of undeveloped woodland and marsh. <br /> Recently acquired by the City of Elk River. This land is located <br /> north of the Elk River Country Club, east of County Road #1, and <br /> west of the abandoned Burlington Northern Railroad. <br /> Park #2 <br /> • 80 acres of undeveloped woodland that previously served as the <br /> City dump.
