The 3 bids received are summarized <br />below: <br />Caldwell Asphalt Co. Inc. $228,891.76 <br />Pearson Bros., Inc. $231,724.64 <br />Allied Blacktop Company $247,270.96 <br />Staff recommends awarding the project to Caldwell Asphalt Company, Inc. who was the lowest <br />responsible bidder <br />Financial Impact <br />The budget for 2015 preventative maintenance is $365,199. Deducting the $228,891.76 for the seal <br />coating contract and $60,000 in purchased rock from the budget leaves a balance of approximately <br />$76,000.
