~ity of <br /> <br />River <br /> <br />MEMORANDLIM <br /> <br />**Item #3.4.** <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />March 13, 2000 <br /> <br />Call Special Meetings for April 3 and May 24 <br /> <br />The City Council needs to get together to discuss and review the financing for <br />the public improvements that are taking place this year and to generally <br />review the capital improvements for the next few years. This review includes <br />financing for the East Elk River street and storm sewer project, the Business <br />Center Drive/Waco Street project, and the 175th Avenue project. An <br />appropriate time is from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 3. This is the first Monday <br />of the month and would be a special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />A special meeting also needs to be called for the spring city tour with MnDOT <br />officials, city staff, and the City Council. The date for this (almost) annual <br />meeting is May 24, 2000. The meeting will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. at <br />City Hall. The introduction session will be followed by a bus tour of the city <br />and then a lunch to review and discuss issues of mutual concern. It is <br />anticipated the MnDOT/city tour will end about 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the following special meetings be called: <br /> <br />Monday, April 3, 2000, 6-8 p.m., for CIP Work <br />Wednesday, May 24, 2000, approximately 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for <br />MnDOT spring tour. <br /> <br />s: \ council \ spcmtgs.doc <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
