However, the Firefighter Compensation package approved by <br />the Council in 1997 includes a provision that firefighter pay adjustments be <br />considered each year with the pay resolution. No increase in probationary <br />firefighter pay is being recommended at this time. Firefighter pay is proposed <br />to increase $.25 to $9.50 per hour; this is slightly less than a three percent <br />increase. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />The City Council is asked to consider increasing firefighter pay to $9.50 per <br />hour effective January 1, 2000. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
