REVIEW 5/25/93 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> A number of Park and Recreation Commission items were reviewed <br /> at the 5/25 City Council meeting, and therefore, these minutes <br /> are included as an update for the Commission. <br /> Additionally, the Commission should be aware that the City <br /> Council approved the $500 reward for information that would <br /> lead to the arrest and conviction for the individuals <br /> responsible for the cutting of trees along Highway 169 near the <br /> shopping center; approve the use of staff time for work with <br /> the Commission in updating the Master Park Plan; and agreed <br /> that the Commission should meet on the second Wednesday of each <br /> month in order to provide input on plat proposals before they <br /> are reviewed by the Planning Commission. Action by the Council <br /> on these three items took place on 5/17/93. <br /> . 6 . MISSISSIPPI OAKS PARK DEDICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> Building and Zoning Administrator, Steve Rohlf, will be in <br /> attendance at this meeting to discuss park dedication <br /> requirements associated with Mississippi Oaks plat. On <br /> 5/17/93, the City Council referred this part of the plat back <br /> to the Park and Recreation Commission in order to identify the <br /> exact location and size of the park. The Council indicated <br /> that the park should be developed within phase II of the plat. <br /> The developers are expected to be present at this meeting. <br /> 7 . PARK REQUIREMENTS FOR BUS TERMINAL PROPOSAL <br /> Building and Zoning Administrator, Steve Rohlf, will be present <br /> to discuss this issue with the Commission. Park dedication is <br /> required with the bus terminal proposal which. The site is <br /> directly east of the Industrial Park and north (northwest) of <br /> the City maintenance shop. <br /> 8 . MEADOWVALE HEIGHTS <br /> Chair, Dave Anderson, will update the Commission on recent <br /> developments with the park dedication requirements for <br /> Meadowvale Heights. It appears that a very appropriate <br /> compromise has been reached between the City and the <br /> • developer.
