The trail and sidewalk
segments proposed with this project are shown on the attached figure. This project was awarded federal
funding when it was submitted for consideration in 2010. The solicitation at that time was for project
costs to be expended in fiscal year 2015. The final plans are currently being reviewed by MnDOT for
compliance with all applicable state and federal rules. The full set of plans is available for viewing at City
Hall. The schedule for the project is as follows:
• Approve Plans /Authorize Bids March 16, 2015
• Open Bids May, 2015
• Award Contract June, 2015
• Construction July— August 2015
Financial Impact
The estimated construction cost for the project is $311,000. The federal funds we have received will
cover $178,000 of this amount. A final cost breakdown will be refined upon opening of bids and before
award of the construction contract. No expenditures above previously approved project administration
fees are associated with the adoption of the attached resolution.
Attachments
• Figure of Improvements
• Plan Set Title Sheet
AR
