There are
five dwellings situated in this plat; owned by four property owners. One of
these dwellings is a rental unit. Staff has had occasion to talk to two of the
four property owners in this area who complained about kids cutting across
their properties to gain access to the river.
Staff would like to explore the possibility of providing a public access to the
river. Between lots 7 and 8 on the attached plat map there is a 30 foot wide
alley dedicated to the city. If the Park and Recreation Commission is in
• agreement, staff will explore the possibility of developing a trail to the river
in this alley. Staff has already talked to the owner of lot 8 and the next
property owner to the south. They both thought the trail was a good idea.
However, staff is recommending we research the particulars of this trail and
present our findings to the Park and Recreation Commission with notice to
all the neighbors at your June meeting.
•
13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
