John Cunningham, Fire Chief <br /> <br />and Recognition <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Recognition of Lions Club for Fire Department Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Donation <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />Recognize the Elk River Lions Club for their generous donation to the Elk River Fire Department. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />On November 25, 2014, the Elk River Lions contributed $10,500 to the Elk River Fire Department to <br />purchase two self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) units. <br /> <br />Representatives from the Elk River Lions will be present to present the city with a large symbolic check. <br />Fire Department staff will also be present to showcase the new SCBA’s. <br /> <br />A resolution acknowledging the contribution was already done in 2014. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br /> <br />The donation has already been used to purchase two SCBA units. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />N/A <br /> <br />Template Updated 4/14 <br />
