Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission Mark Fuchs—Electric Superintendent <br /> John Dietz—Chair <br /> Al Nadeau—Vice Chair <br /> Daryl Thompson—Trustee <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> January 13, 2015 6.1c <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Had two new services. <br /> • Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time <br /> permits. <br /> • Will continue to rebuild River Ranch in Otsego this spring. <br /> • Finished rebuilding the overhead line on the east side of HWY 169 and north of Co. Rd. <br /> 33. <br /> • Continue going through and fixing street lights that have a photo eye controller that feed <br /> multiple lights at one time. <br /> • Started tree trimming. <br /> • We're going through the map book and inspecting equipment on the overhead and <br /> underground system. <br /> • Completed our physical inventory count. Working with the office to ensure everything is <br /> correct. <br /> • A three phase junction box and guy wire, located on County Road 39 in Otsego, was hit <br /> by a vehicle on December 17th. We also had a street light hit on HWY 169. <br /> • I attended the Technical&Operations Conference that MMUA puts on. They had some <br /> very good speakers there. A few of the section's I attended were: Effective Leadership <br /> and Accountability; Updated OSHA 1910.269; Living with Pay Equity in a Competitive <br /> Environment; APPA Lineworker Rodeo Update; and an MMUA update. <br /> • I am on the Advisory Board for the Electrical Lineworker Technology Program at <br /> Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena.
