tkiver <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Item 5.4. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Adn~trator <br />March 22, 2004 ~ <br /> <br />Brimeyer Work Plan Proposal <br /> <br />On March 5, 2004, Councilmember Kuester, myself, and department heads Michele McPherson, <br />Lori Johnson, and Joan Schmidt met with Jim Brimeyer to follow up on City Council direction that <br />was received at the February 17, 2004 meeting. The direction we received was to meet with Mr. <br />Brimeyer to discuss a proposal for having him facilitate a City Council and city staff city-wide goals, <br />visioning, and strategic planning process. It was emphasized to Mr. Brimeyer that we not only <br />wanted goals established but we also ~vanted priorities and action steps (to accomplish the goals) <br />identified as part of the plan. <br /> <br />An update on our meeting with Mr. Brimeyer was provided by Councilmember Kuester at the <br />March 8, 2004 City Council meeting. Attached is a proposal from Mr. Brimeyer to facilitate our city- <br />wide strategic planning process. <br /> <br />Recoramendation <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached proposal from Mr. Brimeyer to <br />facilitate the City of Elk River strategic planning process.
