MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br /> HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> • HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br /> THURSDAY,JULY 12,2001 <br /> Members Present: Jim Nord, Jeff Gongoll, Cindy Olson, Pat Dwyer and Bruce Penner <br /> Members Absent: Kurt Kragness and Bud Houlton <br /> Staff Present: Stephen Rohlf <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the regular meeting of the Elk River <br /> Heritage Preservation Commission was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider 7/12/01 Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER GONGOLL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Consider 5/10/01 Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER PENNER MOVED TO APPROVE THE 5/10/01 HPC <br /> MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. COMMISSIONER NORD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 4. Consider Items on Planning Commission 7/24/01 Agenda <br /> The Commission reviewed the items on the 7/24/01 Planning Commission agenda <br /> and felt there were no conflicts or issues regarding the preservation of the city's <br /> heritage. <br /> 5. Elect HPC Chair <br /> COMMISSIONER GONGOLL MOVED TO NOMINATE KURT <br /> KRAGNESS CHAIR OF THE HERITAGE PRESERVATION <br /> COMMISSION. COMMISSIONER DWYER SECOND THE MOTION. <br /> THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6. Discuss City's Certified Local Government status <br /> Stephen Rohif informed the group that he was in possession of the final <br /> application for CLG status and it was only awaiting the signature of the HPC <br /> Chair. <br />
