MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br /> HERITAGE PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> • HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br /> THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14,2000 <br /> Members Present: Kurt Kragness, James Nord, Cindy Olson, and Bruce Penner <br /> Members Absent: Jeff Gongoll, Pat Rasmusson, and Bud Houlton <br /> Staff Present: Stephen Rohlf(Pat Dwyer was also at this meeting) <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the regular meeting of the Elk River <br /> Heritage Preservation Commission was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider 9/14/00 Agenda <br /> COMMISSION KRAGNESS MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSION OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Consider 8/10/00 Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER NORD MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/10/00 HPC <br /> MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4 TO 0. <br /> 4. Consider Items on Planning Commission 9/26/00 Agenda <br /> The Commission reviewed the items on the 9/26/00 Planning Commission agenda <br /> and felt there were no conflicts or issues regarding the preservation of the city's <br /> heritage. <br /> 5. Consider City of Elk River's Status as a Certified Local Government(CLG) <br /> Commissioner Penner informed the Commission that he had most of the items <br /> needed to apply to become a CLG: a letter from the Mayor(only requiring her <br /> signature), the city has adopted the required ordinances, and all but one resume <br /> from the Commissioners. Stephen Rohlf informed the commission that Pat <br /> Rasmusson, due to a conflict with making the meetings, had submitted her <br /> resignation and that Pat Dwyer had applied to be a commissioner. Mr. Dwyer <br /> indicated that he would get his resume to Mr. Penner shortly. <br /> 6. Consider Efforts to Recruit HPC Members and Volunteers <br /> This issue was not discussed since Pat Dwyer had applied to fill the only vacant <br /> • position on the Commission. <br />
