Land Use Cases <br /> 1. Park in Trott Brook Farms <br /> Grading has been finished in Trott Brook Farms. The curbing has been installed, <br /> and paving should be completed by the end of next week. In January, we will <br /> discuss shelter design and tot lot equipment for the park. <br /> 2. Status of Charest Mississippi Parcel <br /> • <br /> The City is in the process of pursuing prosecution of Mr. Charest under the nuisance <br /> code. The defendant requested a jury trial that will not occur until February or <br /> March 2000. <br /> An appraisal has been ordered to determine the value of the land for condemnation <br /> purposes. <br /> We will continue to update the Commission as information becomes available. <br /> 3. Signalization of Proctor/County Road 1 <br /> The County has agreed to share in the cost of a traffic signal at the intersection of <br /> Proctor and County Road 1. You may have observed that stop signs were installed <br /> at this intersection the week of October 25, 1999. The signal will be installed in <br /> 2000. The County has also discussed a traffic signal at Proctor and School Streets. <br /> B. Park/Trail Developments <br /> 1. Railroad Trail: Acquisition by Sherburne County <br /> • Attached please find a news article regarding the acquisition of 34.8 acres of <br /> railroad right of way from Burlington Northern by Sherburne County. As is <br /> discussed in the article, the acquisition is not in contiguous pieces, but the <br /> remaining miles to be acquired totals only 6.8 miles. <br /> 13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
