( ITEM # 9.C.2. <br /> ( X <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> ity of <br /> i11( River TO: Park and Recreation Commission <br /> FROM: Michele McPherson, Director of Planning <br /> DATE: August 4, 1999 <br /> SUBJECT: Volunteer Picnic <br /> We have identified the following in regards to the volunteer picnic: <br /> Location: Orono Park Shelters <br /> Date: September 16, 1999 <br /> Time: 5:00 p.m. to sunset, with dinner being served between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 <br /> p.m. <br /> Invitees: See attached list. Those organizations with an (*) beside them will be <br /> invited. Please review the list and determine if there are organizations <br /> that need to be added. One that comes to mind is the Biathalon group. <br /> • Fun: We will provide volleyball nets/balls and other outdoor game equipment <br /> for use by those in attendance. <br /> We will need "volunteers" for the following items: <br /> 1. Bringing a grill and charcoal <br /> 2. Cooking <br /> 3. Picking up food and pop/water/lemonade. We have identified a menu of <br /> hamburgers/brats, chips, cookies or ice cream, and possibly salads of some sort if it <br /> is not too hot. Or, we can bring coolers with ice to keep food cool. <br /> 4. Getting games started. <br /> Invitations will be mailed by August 13, 1999, with an RSVP date of September 10, <br /> 1999.
