In his letter, he has suggested <br /> two items: 1) attendance to the State Conference in St. Cloud, arranging a <br /> meeting with several members to meet with the Commission, and 2) meeting with <br /> a consultant in regards to development of a park and recreation department. He <br /> suggested Randee Nelson, who currently works for St. Croix Recreation and <br /> does some consulting to various recreation groups. Another suggestion Mr. <br /> Gurban presented was to meet with Brett Heitkamp of the City of Champlin. He <br /> is the current city administrator and was formerly the Director of Parks and Public <br /> Works. <br /> Staff would like from the Commission the following information: <br /> 1. A list of tasks the Commission would like staff to pursue regarding the <br /> gathering of information for continued park department development <br /> discussion. <br /> 2. Commitment on the part of several Commissioners to establishment a <br /> formal subcommittee regarding this issue. <br /> 3.
