Cfty of Oak, l*k k a X TXX Pd V LT Resolution 14- 36 A Resolution of the City of Elk River Rejecting Bids and Ordering Re- Advertisement for Bids in the Matter of the Nature's Edge Business Center, Phase 11 Improvements WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson Inc, at the direction of the City Engineer, advertised the approved plans and specifications for the Nature's Edge Business Center, Phase 11 Improvements, and bids were received on July 15, 2014, and WHEREAS, The City has been unsuccessful in obtaini.nR the necessary permits to proceed with the project on the original schedule. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The bids received on July 15, 2014, are hereby rejected. 2. Previously approved plans and specifications shall be modified to amend the completion date. 3. The City Clerk shall prepare and obtain the publication of an advertisement for bids for the making of the improvement pursuant to the attached plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will be received by the City Clerk until 11:00 a.rn— on August 22, 2014, at which time the bids will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the City Hall by the City Clerk and the City Engineer and will then be tabulated for consideration by the City Council at 2 meeting thereof at 6:00 p.m. on September 2, 2014, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Elk River in the amount of 5% of the amount of such bid.
