Mayor Dietz to open and close the public hearing. 2. Adopt,by motion, an ordinance amending the 2014 Master Fee Schedule to add fats, oils, and grease control enforcement tier levels. Background/Discussion On May 5, 2014, the Council adopted an ordinance regarding fats, oils, and grease control. On May 19, 2014, the Council reviewed and approved the Enforcement Response Plan outlining tier levels and the types of violations occurring at each level. On July 7, 2014, the Enforcement Response Plan was amended to remove tier level penalty amounts and place them in the 2014 Master Fee Schedule as directed by the City Attorney. The Chief Operator will investigate compliance with the FOG Control Policy/Sewer Use and Sewer Use and Discharge Requirements Ordinance through: a) On-site inspections of FSE and FM/P's,including scheduled and unscheduled visits; b) Review of documentation of required cleaning/maintenance of grease retention units; c) Review of records/activities required to be documented and maintained by the User; d) Review of procedures and implementation of Best Management Practices outlined in FOG e) Control Policy; f) Investigation of sanitary sewer overflows and spill and illegal discharges The FOG Control Ordinance takes effect November 5, 2014,which is the end of the 180-day grace period granted at the May Council meeting.
