City of <br /> Elk -�-� <br /> River <br /> TO: Park and RecreatioonnCommission <br /> FROM: <br /> DATE: Michele McPherson, Director of Planning <br /> June 13, 2001 <br /> SUBJECT: Consider Park Dedication for Preliminary Plat Request— <br /> # 9.B.4. <br /> Case No. P 01-09 Kliever Lake Hills <br /> The Commission is asked to consider on a concept basis,park dedication for the preliminary <br /> • plat of Kliever Lake Hills. <br /> Attachments <br /> • Location Map <br /> • Preliminary Plat of Kliever Lake Hills <br /> • Combined Kliever Lake Fields/Kliever Lake Hills Preliminary Plat <br /> Location <br /> The subject property is located Vs mile south of County Road 12 and 1/a mile west of <br /> Fillmore Street. <br /> Analysis <br /> Kliever Lake Hills is adjacent to and south of Kliever Lake Fields. Separating the two plats <br /> is a 150-foot power line easement noted as Outlot C on the preliminary plat of Kliever Lake <br /> Hills. The topography changes dramatically from Kliever Lake Fields to Kliever Lake Hills <br /> in the area, which would make a logical extension of the park, agreed to in Kliever Lake <br /> Fields. The Commission should consider whether acquiring additional land is appropriate in <br /> this area or, if cash dedication for 60 lots would be the preferred alternative. <br /> In reviewing a possible layout for both parks,it appears that playground structure could be <br /> placed on the top of the hill,freeing up additional area in the park of Kliever Lake Fields for <br />
