The Commission is asked <br /> evaluate this proposed access solution and provide a recommendation to the City Council. <br /> Attachments <br /> ❑ Location Map <br /> ❑ Proposed Driveway <br /> ❑ Driveway/Street Alignment <br /> ❑ Proposed Road/Street <br /> Analysis <br /> The Mayor is facilitating the request for an alternate access on behalf of the residents located <br /> east of Hillside City Park. Due to the lowering of County Road 12 during its reconstruction, <br /> the existing driveway access will become unsafe due to an increase in slope and a lack of a <br /> perpendicular intersection with County Road 12. In 1995,the City Council agreed to sell <br /> land to the County to provide a new driveway through Hillside City Park. At the April 16th <br /> City Council meeting,the Council agreed that only an easement would be granted to the <br /> County for the reconstructed driveway and that the right of access would be granted to the <br /> adjacent residents. <br /> The residents feel that the current slope of the driveway is unsafe,and feel that the proposed <br /> • driveway would also be unsafe.
