Item #9.B.6. <br /> City <br /> ikj <br /> E <br /> River <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Planning Commission <br /> FROM: Michele McPhers• , Director of Planning <br /> DATE: May 8, 2002 <br /> SUBJECT: Consider Park Dedication - Case No. P 02-I I, Preliminary Plat, <br /> Mississippi Oaks 3rd Addition <br /> Request <br /> The Commission is asked to consider park dedication for the preliminary plat of Mississippi <br /> • Oaks 3rd Addition. <br /> Attachments <br /> • Location Map <br /> • Preliminary Plat <br /> Analysis <br /> The subject property is located south of Mississippi Road and east of Fresno Street, at the <br /> Denver Street alignment. There is a neighborhood park symbol identified on the parcel which <br /> may be for the adjacent property. The subject property is currently vacant and has been left <br /> fallow for several years. This is the third addition of Mississippi Oaks. <br /> The property measures 27 acres in area. There are 51 lots proposed for this subdivision. This <br /> property is located in Park Service Area 5 which indicates that the park needs would be met with <br /> Mississippi Oaks 2nd Addition. There are two parks within close proximity of the subject <br /> property;Fresno Park at the intersection of Fresno Street and 182nd Avenue,and Mississippi <br /> Oaks Park located at the intersection of 180th Avenue and Elgin Street.
