In staff's opinion,the parcel could become the cornerstone of a larger park <br /> facility,as there are parcels adjacent that will develop some day,and another property owner <br /> (Barsody) has expressed an interest in selling the City 20 acres contiguous to the LaFavor <br /> parcel. <br /> Grace Assembly of God <br /> A topographic and boundary survey of the property has been completed by the City <br /> Engineer. A proposed split of the property has been submitted to the pastor of the church, <br /> but no further conversations have occurred. <br /> Projects <br /> Staff proposes the following projects for 2002: <br /> Baldwin, all $15,700.00 <br /> Barrington $600.00 <br /> YAC Improvements, bleachers&concession $23,200.00 <br /> Playground, Miss Oaks $30,000.00 <br /> Deerfield Hill fence and landscape $9,650.00 <br /> Fresno playground? $25,000.00 <br /> Lions Park landscape &golf $15,500.00 <br /> Riverplace landscaping $11,300.00 <br /> Orono Bleachers $30,000.00 <br /> Devine Barn $20,000.00 <br /> Prairie Seed $2,000.00 <br /> Undeveloped Park Imp $10,000.00 <br /> Supplies $5,000.00 <br /> Subtotal $197,950.00 <br /> Land Acquisition <br /> Parcel B <br /> Parcel G $29,000.00 <br /> Parcel L $273,000.00 <br /> When the budget was originally developed,total expenditures were estimated to be$65,000. <br /> In 2001, over $137,000 was spent on park development projects. Is the Commission <br /> interested in spending almost $200,000 in 2002? Should the Fresno park playground be <br /> delayed one year? Are there other projects or items that the Commission feels comfortable <br /> • delaying? What should be our target level of expenditures? <br />
