The article was published is the City's spring 2014
newsleilter, the Elk River Current. The article,Power to the People, highlights the great
value eat ERMU provides to our community. Typically public power providers are not
great a tooting their own horns. But this is a great message to share with our customers
and the community as many people may not be aware. It is also great to see that ERMU
has su. support from our city. What we have is very special. Over the past few years
we ha seen other cities including Minneapolis, MN, and Boulder, CO, consider
municio alizing an electric utility. These cities, along with others, consider investing
multi llions of dollars and countless hours to get what we already have.
• Centra Minnesota Municipal Power Agency(CMMPA)will be hosting a CAPX
Brookil g transmission project ownership meeting June 24. The meeting will include
discus' ng the ownership revenue that is scheduled to begin this year.
Mi..,
Pagel oft P O N E D E D D
INATUREI
Reliable Public
Power Provider P O W E R E D T O S E R V E
119
