Dietz, Councilmembers Wilson, Burandt,Westgaard, and <br /> Motin (6:34 p.m.) <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Staff present: City Clerk Tina Allard, Finance Director Tim Simon, and Executive <br /> Secretary/Deputy City Clerk Jessica Miller <br /> Also Present: Sherburne County Assessor Daniel Weber, Chief Deputy Assessor <br /> Greg Olson, Residential Appraisers Kristi Botzek and Lori Bistodeau, <br /> Agricultural Specialist]eanne Henderson, and Commercial/industrial <br /> Appraiser William Riley <br /> I a all Meeting to Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Board of <br /> Appeal and Equalization was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br /> 2,. Board of Appeal and Equalization <br /> Daniel Weber, Sherburne County Assessor,indicated that the purpose of the Board <br /> of Appeal and Equalization is to consider andrCViCIA7 2014 estimated market values <br /> and property classifications for taxes payable in 2015. <br /> Information was presented on the assessment procedures and statistics for the City <br /> of Elk River 2014 assessments. <br /> The Board of Appeal and Equalization heard appeals as outlined below: <br /> 1. Katie Franaschouk, Parcel Identification Number 75-688-0112 <br /> Ms. Franaschouk explained she purchased the home in January for$210,000 and <br /> would like the market value to more closely reflect the purchase price. She noted she <br /> has an independent appraisal that she would be willing to share. <br /> Ms. Botzek indicated the entire neighborhood was reassessed in 2013; however, she <br /> was unable to gain access to the home because it was bank owned at the time, Ms. <br /> Botzek requested an opportunity to review the home and adjust the market value if <br /> appropriate. Ms. Franaschouk agreed. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Wcstgaard and seconded by Councitmember <br /> Motin to make no change to parcel 75-688-0112. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
