We offered the position to two different <br /> candidates who both chose to stay in their current positions. We reopened the position in February and <br /> received 14 applications. We interviewed seven candidates and are recommending Jacob Walz for this <br /> position. <br /> Mr. Walz is currently employed by Beaudry Oil where he is a dispatcher as well as providing end user <br /> computer support to their staff. In addition to his computer education and work experience,Mr. Walz <br /> has education and experience in law enforcement and criminal justice and as a heavy truck technician. <br /> Mr. Walz will start at step A of pay grade 3. Based on satisfactory performance,Mr. Walz will be eligible <br /> for a step increase in 6 months. All other pay and benefits are consistent with city policy. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> This is a budgeted position.
