Terri Heaton from Springsted Incorporated who had made a <br /> presentation to the Utilities Commission in January on the bond refunding assisted with <br /> the document preparation. Tim Simon and Cal Portner from the City also participated in <br /> the rating call. We will have an update on the results of that call by the time of the <br /> meeting. <br /> • Sherburne County, the City, and ERMU met on February 5th to conduct an annual <br /> meeting per our fiber optic infrastructure agreement. The meeting included discussion on <br /> maintenance and capital costs, potential future expansions and laterals, and future <br /> collaborations. A number of IT collaborations were identified for future analysis. <br /> • Great River Energy(GRE) has scheduled a meeting with Connexus, Minnesota <br /> Municipal Power Association, and ERMU to discuss potential opportunities. This <br /> meeting will be held at the GRE headquarters in Maple Grove on February 12`h. <br /> • The Elk River City Council will be hosting their annual Board and Commission <br /> Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:00pm at Rockwoods Banquet <br /> Center. The Utilities Commissioners are invited. If you have not received an invitation <br /> please let me know as the registration deadline is February 14`h. <br /> • The attached article on solar highlights one of the most common concerns for utilities; <br /> although solar is a great renewable resource, it is often subsidized by others.
