Et1 , <br /> REQUEST FOR ACTION <br /> River <br /> To ITEM NUMBER <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission 7. <br /> AGENDA SECTION MEETING DATE PREPARED BY <br /> Action Items February 12, 2014 Steve Benoit, Recreation Manager <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION REVIEWED By <br /> Community Vacation Bible School Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation <br /> Director <br /> REVIEWED BY <br /> ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Discussion of request to hold a Community Vacation Bible School at Lions Park. <br /> Approval by motion of Community Bible School to be held at Lions Park from Sunday,July 13 to <br /> Thursday,July 17 with the following provisions: <br /> • Damage deposit of$100 <br /> • Rental fee to follow current Lions Park and Outdoor Facility Use Fee policies <br /> • Event will need to operate within regular park hours <br /> • Group will pay cost of extra items such as portable toilets, trash pick up <br /> • Group will coordinate with Parks and Recreation staff regarding logistics of event set up and <br /> scheduling in order to accommodate Parks and Recreation programs <br /> • Parks and Recreation programs operating during event will have first priority for space allocation <br /> • Parks and Recreation staff will have full access to Lions Park and Lions Park Center as needed <br /> BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION <br /> A collaboration of church groups has requested the use of Lions Park in order to host a Community <br /> Vacation Bible School from July 14-18, 2014.
