Since that time, <br /> maintenance operators have rotated as a support or lead. <br /> Council recently approved a revised lead street maintenance operator position description. The vacancy <br /> was posted and interviews held with five street division employees. The interview panel identified Chris <br /> Teff, a maintenance operator II, as the best qualified applicant for the position. <br /> Mr. Teff is one of the division's best equipment operators and brings over 10 years of experience in the <br /> construction industry. He is detail oriented, organized, and possesses the necessary computer skills. The <br /> panel believes his work style will effectively complement the interim superintendent. The position was <br /> offered to and accepted by Mr. Teff on Thursday,March 6, 2014. He assumed position responsibilities on <br /> Friday,March 07, 2014. <br /> Mr. Teff will start at step C of pay grade 7. Based on satisfactory performance he will be eligible to move <br /> to step D in six months.
