Both Mr. Kuester and Mr. Peterson have requested to be reappointed to the
commission. Mr. Jackett has apphed for consideration for appointment to the Planning
Commission, however, if he is not appointed to the Planning Commission, he is interested in
reappointment to the Park and Recreation Commission.

We have also received applications for appointment to the Park and Recreation Commission
from the following:

Michael Niziolek, 12275 Rush Circle, Elk River;
Kevin Scott, 11847 198th Avenue N.W., Elk River;
Ronald J. Touchette, 22400 Meadowvale Road, Elk River.

Mr. Niziolek, Mr. Scott, and Mr. Touchette are planning on being in attendance if the
Council wishes to interview these individuals. (It is staff's understanding that Council did
not wish to interview current commission members; only new applicants.)

ACTION REQUESTED

Three openings with the following options:
-Reappoint John Kuester to the Park and Recreation Commission for a three-year term
ending on February 28, 2007.
-Reappoint Duane Peterson to the Park and Recreation Commission for a three-year term
ending on February 28, 2007.
-Reappoint Arthur Jackett to the Park and Recreation Commission for a three-year term
ending on February 28, 2007.
