Each has distinguished themselves <br /> as a leader and as a mentor,having committed to the training and preparation of the next generation of <br /> leadership in the Elk River Fire Department. <br /> Captain Anderson and Lieutenant Elliott will continue their service as firefighters and Lieutenant Lore <br /> has formally retired from the Fire Department. <br /> The Fire Department and the city thanks all three for their years of selfless and dedicated service. <br /> Chief Cunningham appointed the following firefighters to officer positions, effective February 1, 2014: <br /> • Tim Marchiafava, Captain (Training and Safety) <br /> • Joe Evenson,Lieutenant <br /> • Mark Lees,Lieutenant <br /> All three were appointed after a thorough selection process which included an interview panel consisting <br /> of Fire Department officers and an outside fire chief. <br /> Mayor Dietz will administer the Oath of Office to Capt. Marchiafava,Lt. Evenson,and Lt.
