Item # 9.C.2. <br /> City or <br /> Elk <br /> River <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Park and Recreation Commission <br /> FROM: Michele McPherso&rector of Planning <br /> DATE: October 8, 2003 <br /> SUBJECT: Discuss 2004 CIP Budget <br /> Staff is in the process of assembling the project list for the 2004 CIP Budget to determine <br /> final budget numbers and present a finali7lcd list for the Commission to consider over the <br /> next several months. Currently,under the Park Development Schedule,the following items <br /> were identified to be completed in 2004: <br /> 1. Deerfield Hill Park-Additional play equipment <br /> 2. Lions Park- Skate park ramps,parking lot expansion, add three additional Frisbee <br /> golf holes, overlay existing trails. <br /> 3. Meadowvale Heights- Grading/seeding,landscape buffer <br /> 4. Ridgewood East Park- Enlarge play structure, add a swingset,replace sand <br /> volleyball with full court basketball. <br /> 5. Trott Brook Farms - Trail connection, hockey rink <br /> 6. Youth Athletic Complex- Spectator bleacher pads, spectator bleacher shelters, <br /> playground,parking lot. <br /> In addition, staff has identified additional projects: <br /> 1. Highlands West Park- Full court basketball <br /> 2. Youth Athletic Complex-Concession stand interior <br /> Staff requests that the Commission provide a preliminary indication as to whether any, all or <br /> none of the above projects should be included in the 2004 CIP Budget. Staff would, <br /> however, strongly recommend that the Lions Park Center parking lot expansion be included <br /> in the CIP Budget and that it be bid and contracted out for completion.
