In addition to the above materials, staff is currently researching park provision <br /> standards (i.e.,if you are a community of a certain population, how many athletic fields, <br /> neighborhood parks, etc. should you provide for your population). This information will be <br /> provided at the meeting for reference. <br /> I would like to focus on the following task during our April 9`h meeting: <br /> 1. Review the park classification and recreation standards that were considered for the 1997 <br /> plan,pages 85 - 89 of the 1997 Demographic Analysis. Are these standards and <br /> assumptions still valid? <br /> 2. Review the parcels of land identified and prioritized in 2000 as future properties <br /> desirable for the expansion of the City's park system. In order to focus staff and <br />
