The Recreation Division
provides Rink Attendant staff for two of Elk River's outdoor rinks in order to offer the
public access to warming houses and for general supervision. The two supervised rinks are
located at Lions Park and Handke Pit. Outdoor ice rinks typically open in late December as
the weather allows.
Staff is in the process of reviewing the City-Wide Volunteer program. The Volunteer
Coordinator will unfortunately not be available to work on the program for the next several
months.
