1%S-
Elk River
Municipal Utilities
322 King Avenue phone: 763.441.2020
Elk River,MN 55330 Fax:763.441.8099
May 5, 2003
To: Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission
John Dietz
Jerry Takle
James Tralle
From: Bryan C. Adams
Subject: 2002 Water Confidence Report
The Unites States Environmental Protection Agency requires all water utilities on an
annual basis, to make public water quality facts concerning their water. The Minnesota
Department of Health (MDH) specifies at a minimum, information and verbiage that
needs to be included in this annual disclosure. Attached is ERMU's 2002 Annual
Drinking Water Quality Report. Our report goes into more detail than what is required
by MDH but it gives our water customers a better "feel" for the contaminates in our water
and the degree to which we test for these contaminates. Again the year, our water meets
all of the State and Federal standards. This brochure will be a bill stuffer with our May
bills.
Also attached is the Spring 2003 connector that appeared in the May 7, 2003, edition of
the Elk River Star News.
