Call Meeting To Order <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the meeting of the Elk River Energy City Education <br /> Subcommittee was called to order at 3:03 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> No changes were made to the agenda. <br /> 3. Marketing Material Ideas <br /> Video Update—Videos are ready to be put on the website. Descriptions need to be created for each <br /> one and new ones may need to be created. <br /> Website Update—Each commissioner needs to provide the City with a brief description of 50 words <br /> or less of their business and role with the Energy City Commission by September 13,2013. <br /> Letter to Schools—A letter was drafted and reviewed and will be sent out to all of the local schools <br /> informing them of opportunities to work with the ECC. <br /> Spectrum Opportunity—Staff Haug will be presenting to students at Spectrum School on <br /> Wednesday,September 11,2013. The students are working on projects to make their school more <br /> sustainable. The Subcommittee discussed having the students conduct a poll of their peers. The poll <br /> could include the number of CFL or LED light bulbs in their home,whether or not they have a <br /> programmable thermostat,if they recycle,etc. The DOE website has a lot of information. <br /> 4. Other <br /> The fliers for the churches,small businesses and non-profits are still being created. <br /> 5.
