RESOLUTION NO. 13- 12 <br /> • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY F <br /> O ELK RIVER IN SUPPORT OF FUNDING FOR <br /> TH I 0 IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, Trunk Highway 10 (TH10) and Highway 169 corridor,located in Sherburne and <br /> Anoka Counties,has been problematic for years;and <br /> WHEREAS, the problems have to do with safety and mobility;and <br /> WHEREAS, in 2008, the City of Elk River initiated, actively participated in, and funded the <br /> Planning for Mobility Improvements to the TH10 and TH169 Corridors in Elk <br /> River;and <br /> WHEREAS, such plan laid out general improvements to address problems with TH10 and <br /> TH169; and <br /> WHEREAS, the study included Geometric Layouts and Environmental Assessments for the <br /> improvements to TH10 and TH169;both of which received a Finding of No <br /> Significant Impact (FONSI) from the Federal Highway Administration in 2012 (TH <br /> 10) and 2013 (TH 169); and <br /> WHEREAS, no funding was available to implement the improvements;and <br /> • WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports working cooperatively with Sherburne and Anoka <br /> Counties, the cities of Zimmerman, Ramsey, Anoka, and MnDOT to fund and <br /> improve Trunk Highway 10/Highway 169 Corridor;and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF ELK RIVER, SHERBURNE COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the City of <br /> Elk River supports continued efforts to make safety and mobility improvements on the Trunk <br /> Highway 10/Highway 169 Corridor. <br /> Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 18th day of March, 2013. <br /> ATTEST: n J.
