The presentation will include <br /> a project overview and address design elements in the final plans that were revised from the feasibility <br /> report based on input received at the improvement hearing. A meeting was held on February 19 with all <br /> affected city and municipal utility departments to assure their concerns and needs were included in the <br /> final design. The schedule for the project is as follows: <br /> • Neighborhood Open House Dec. 13. 2012 <br /> • Feasibility Report approved by City Council Jan. 7, 2013 <br /> • Public Hearing/Project Ordered Feb. 4, 2013 <br /> • Approve Plans/Authorize Bids March 4, 2013 <br /> • Open Bids April 2, 2013 <br /> • Assessment Hearing/Award Contract May 20, 2013 <br /> • Construction June—Sept. 2013 <br /> Upon conclusion of the presentation, staff asks the City Council to adopt the attached resolution that <br /> approves the plans and authorizes the advertisement for bids. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT <br /> The estimated project costs of$3,685,000 are still consistent with the estimates provided in the <br /> preliminary engineering report. A final cost breakdown will be refined upon opening of public bids and <br /> before award of the construction contract.
