Item ?. 1. <br /> <br />Approved: <br />Revised: <br /> <br /> City of Elk River Position Analysis <br /> <br />Position Title: Building Maintenance Worker <br /> <br />Department: Public Works <br /> <br />Immediate Supervisor's Title: Public Works Director <br /> <br />FLSA Status: Non-exempt <br /> <br />Purpose: The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for preserving the <br />physical integrity of city buildings and facilities by applying skilled custodial and <br />maintenance services. This position may require the coordination and monitoring <br />of outside contracting and/or supervision of a custodial employee. <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <br /> <br /> Perform routine cleaning activities in and around city hall, library and other <br /> city facilities, i.e. (street garage, ice arena, fire hall, EDA incubator building, <br /> WWTP, etc.). <br /> A. Clean city hall and library daily <br />B. Maintain all floors to include vacuuming, carpet cleaning, sweeping, <br /> mopping, buffing and waxing. <br />C. Clean windows (inside and outside), walls and baseboards. <br />D. Washes sinks, mirrors, hardware in restrooms and other areas and <br /> sanitizes restroom facilities. <br />D. Empty garbage and recycling containers. <br />E. Maintains product inventory for towels, toilet tissue, soaps, light <br /> bulbs and other necessary supplies. <br />F. Clean other city facilities as needed. <br />G. Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, etc. for meetings. <br /> <br />Coordinate and monitor outside cleaning contracts and/or supervise custodial <br />employee, if required. <br />A. Direct, evaluate and provide work direction to building cleaners. <br />B. Contract building cleaners on an as needed basis. <br />C.
