ity of <br /> <br />River <br /> <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br /> Item # 6.7. <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> Mayor and City Council <br /> Steve Ach, City Planner~g/~ <br /> May 18, 1998 <br /> <br /> Request by the City of Elk River <br /> for Land Use Plan Amendment and <br /> Rezoning, Public Hearing Case <br /> No.'s LU 98-1 and ZC 98-1 <br /> <br />& 6.8. <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />The City of Elk River is requesting consideration of the following <br />applications: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />Land Use Plan Amendment of approximately 70 acres of property <br />located along Burlington Northern Railroad Tracks between 177th <br />Avenue and 173rd Avenue, from MR (Medium Density Residential) to <br />LI (Light Industrial) (Area #7). <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Rezoning of approximately 70 acres as described above from Rle <br />(Single Family Residential) to BP (Business Park) (Area #7). <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />· Ordinance No. 98-__ <br />· Resolution No. 98-__ <br />· Land use plan map <br />· Zoning map <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />These two applications were presented to the City Council on March 16, <br />1998, and at the request of the property owner, tabled to the May 18th City <br />Council meeting. The property owner has hired an appraisal firm to conduct <br />some research on their property.
