Minutes of the Sherburne/Wright County Cable Commission Executive Committee <br />Wednesday, February 24, 201 I, 11:15 a.m. <br />Buffalo City Hall <br />Present: Chair Myles McGrath, Commissioners Mert Auger and Tina Allard (11:25 a.m.) <br />Absent: None <br />Also present: Technology Consultant Bil] Bruce, Attorney Bob Vose and Big Lake Representative <br />Gina Wolbeck <br />Call to Order <br />Chair McGrath called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m. <br />2. Discuss Franchise Agreement Issues Regarding Windstream <br />Attorney Vose provided an update regarding a letter that \x'indstream sent out to customers in <br />Big Lake and Maple Lake. The letter indicated they would no longer offer cable service on <br />their own but would be offering satellite package deals. The letter further stated that <br />customers currently on Windstream's land line system could remain on it. <br />There was discussion on the possible breaches to the Franchise agreements with these cities. <br />MOVED BY COMMISSIONER AUGER AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MCGRATH FOR THE COMMISSION ATTORNEY TO PERFORM MORE <br />RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND TO DETERMINE WHAT THE DAMAGES <br />WOULD BE TO THE COMMISSION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br />3.
