'"':'y of <br /> <br />iver <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Item #4.6. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />February 2, 1998 <br /> <br />Heater Units for Ice Arena Zamboni and <br />Compressor Rooms <br /> <br />This item is not formally listed on the agenda, but I would like to have it <br />added for Council consideration as Item 4.6. under Administration. <br /> <br />Attached is a memo from Building Official Cliff Skogstad and Ice Arena <br />Manager Rich Czech regarding the need to replace the heating units in the <br />Zamboni and Compressor rooms. The recommendation is to go with the <br />$4,500 quote from B&D Plumbing for a slightly different heating system. In <br />this manner we hope to avoid a similar problem in the future. <br /> <br />The city will be submitting this request to our insurance company and our <br />chances of getting any financial reimbursement for this request is unknown. <br />This item can be financed within the ice arena budget as a building and/or <br />equipment repair and maintenance line item, or at the end of the year as we <br />evaluate the total Ice Arena expenditures, this expense can possibly be <br />shifted to the city self insurance fund. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve the B&D Plumbing quote <br />for heating units in the amount of $4,500. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
