• <br /> <br />• <br />RESOLUTION 11-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE ELK RIVER <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />RECOGNIZING CONTRIBUTIONS OF RON TOUCHETTE SERVING ON <br />THE ELK RIVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, On June 2, 200$, the Elk River Cite Council appointed Ron Touchette to <br />serve on the Elk River Economic Development Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, On April 12, 2010, Mr. Touchette was appointed to the Elk River <br />Economic Development Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, During his tenure as President, the EDA partnered with Elk River <br />Energy City to utilize Energy City as an economic development tool <br />through various marketing mediums; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Touchette was a proponent of the Energy Efficiency Improvement <br />Micro Loan Program to encourage reinvestment through energy efficient <br />rehabilitation; and <br />WHEREAS, As a result of the Micro I.aan Program, $125,000 in funding was <br />approved through the Micro Loan Program to assist new businesses <br />within the communitj=; and <br />WHEREAS, On January 10, 2011, the EDA appointed a branding subcommittee to <br />facilitate the branding process; and <br />WHEREAS, On September 12, 2011, the F.,DA approved moving forward with the <br />Elk River Brand Plan; and <br />WHEREAS Ron Touchette's commitment, background and service has contributed <br />to create a strong and sustainable organization working to benefit the <br />City of Elk River. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Development Authority in <br />and for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, that it hereby acknowledges and expresses their <br />appreciation and recognizes you for devoting your time, knowledge, and experience to serve <br />on the Elk River Economic Development Authority. <br />Passed and adopted by the Elk River Economic Development Authority this 12`" day of <br />December, 2011. <br />A <br />Annie Deckert, Executive Director <br />Dan Tveite, Vice President <br />
